Recently, it's also been gaining traction in aesthetic dentistry and periodontal treatments. With the enhanced visibility provided by the microscope, the success rates of apical surgeries have improved significantly. To put it simply, more visibility leads to better results.
CBCT
Cone Beam Computed Tomography aka our 3-D x-ray or panoramic machine is a scanning device that allows us to get a 3-D image, whereas bitewings and intraorals are 2-D images. This is used for root canals, apical surgeries, and for wisdom tooth imaging.
